Do or Do Not Yoda Quote

Repinned from Fee Fee, RN

I love this!!  Do or do not.  There is no try.  Being a huge Star Wars fan (Geek), I love Yoda, and this is one  of my all-time favorite quotes.   Mostly because it's so either do something, or you don't.

I'm a Bzzagent..  Which means I get the opportunity to try and then promote really awesome things. Today's campaign is for the Star Wars Saga BluRay addition, and I really, really want in it.  The original Star Wars was one of the first movies I ever saw in the theater, and I've been a huge fan ever since.  Strangely, I don't own any of the movies in my 380+ DVD/BluRay collection..  So getting in on this campaign would just make me sooo happy!

Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Episodes I-VI) [Blue Ray]

Shortened..  A lot..  From
Episode I, The Phantom Menace "I have a bad feeling about this," says the young Obi-Wan Kenobi (played by Ewan McGregor) in Star Wars: Episode I, The Phantom Menace as he steps off a spaceship and into the most anticipated cinematic event... well, ever.
Episode II, Attack of the Clones If The Phantom Menace was the setup, then Attack of the Clones is the plot-progressing payoff, and devoted Star Wars fans are sure to be enthralled.
Episode III, Revenge of the Sith Ending the most popular film epic in history.
Star Wars: The Original Trilogy (Episodes IV - VI) The Star Wars trilogy had the rare distinction of becoming more than just a series of movies, but a cultural phenomenon, a life-defining event for its generation. On its surface, George Lucas's original 1977 film is a rollicking and humorous space fantasy that owes debts to more influences than one can count on two hands, but filmgoers became entranced by its basic struggle of good vs. evil "a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away," its dazzling special effects, and a mythology of Jedi Knights, the Force, and droids.

Blog Love!

I just found this blog today through a pin on Pinterest, and ZOmG.. I love it!  I would just like to repin the entire thing here, but since I don't think they'd appreciate that, and you can just go check it out for yourself, I will just be satisfied with repinning selected things I really want to share from there.  Sharing is good!   :O)

Terra+Nova+TV+Series Terra Nova is Awesome! Watch it!

Terra Nova is my newest favorite TV show! It's brand new, and I've just seen the pilot, but if the pilot is any indication of how the series will be, it is going to be epic!  If you haven't seen it, go watch the 2-hour pilot on Hulu now!

How To: Simplify: Apple Rings

How To: Simplify: Apple Rings:

I found this recipe for fried Apple Rings on They look soooo delicious, I had to repin them and share. I think I'm gonna make them this weekend!

Apple Rings

For the rings:

1 large egg white
1 cup water
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 large apples, peeled
Canola oil for frying
Cinnamon and sugar
For the icing:
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons milk
1 - 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar.

Whisk egg white until foamy. Whisk in the water and vanilla. Next, whisk in the flour and salt.
Slice the apples into 1/2-inch thick slices. Using varying sized cutters, cut “rings” out of apple slices, discarding smallest circle containing core.
Heat oil to 375 degrees. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Dip apple rings into batter and then place into the oil. Allow the apples to fry in small batches and turn frequently. Remove from the oil when golden brown and place on a paper towel. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Transfer rings to a wire rack and place the wire rack on a baking sheet. Place in the oven for 5-10 minutes or until the rings turn crispy.
Drizzle the icing over the rings and serve warm. (To make the icing, simply combine all of the ingredients and stir until combined)."

Egyptians Have 50 Words For Sand Quote

I love this, it's so sweet.  It is the little things that make love magical, isn't it?

Reminds me of similar quote by Margaret Atwood:

"The Eskimos have 52 words for snow because it is so special to them; there ought to be as many for love!"

“I read once that the ancient Egyptians had fifty words for sand & the Eskimos had a hundred words for snow. I wish I had a thousand words for love, but all that comes to mind is the way you move against me while you sleep & there are no words for that.”
